"Piki" – Helping Event Organizers Identify Emerging Talent and Optimize Music Events Discovery

Project Description

This project aims to explore how behavioral data collected from Piki, an intuitive music discovery app that helps users effortlessly find and explore music tailored to their tastes, can be adapted into a reliable decision-support tool for music festival and event organizers. The project provides valuable insights for professionals responsible for deciding which artists to book for concerts, festivals, or venues.

Specifically, it investigates how to optimize the interaction and collaboration between the four key stakeholders involved in organizing musical events:

  1. Event organizers and booking teams, who select artists and plan the festival line-up.
  2. Marketing and promotion teams, responsible for attracting and engaging audiences.
  3. Performing artists, whose participation defines the event’s cultural and entertainment value.
  4. Music fans and audiences, whose satisfaction directly influences the success of the event.

By improving the connections between these stakeholders through music data analytics and audience behavior insights, the project seeks to enhance the overall festival experience, strengthen fan engagement, optimize artist booking decisions, and ultimately increase ticket sales.
