Event Description

Tourism—covering accommodation, destination management, travel services, financial systems, and transportation—accounts for about 10% of global GDP and jobs while contributing 15% of global carbon emissions, growing at 4% annually. Overtourism already affects 96 UNESCO World Heritage sites. Developing responsible tourism models is a global priority.

This by-invitation-only, two-day intensive workshop—funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF)—brings together a select group of 20 participants to co-create new models for sustainable tourism. Hosted by EHL, Hospitality Business School, renowned for both its commitment to sustainable development and its leadership in hospitality education, the event is designed to foster deep exchange and actionable collaboration.
