The objective of this project is to conduct applied research and implement revenue management tactics specifically tailored to ski lifts. This project seeks to optimize revenue generation and enhance the operational aspects of the ski lifts through the strategic application of revenue management techniques.
Full slopes and traffic jams in front of the lifts: With flexible prices and digital forecasts, ski resorts are supposed to better manage visitor numbers.
What will the ski area look like in 15 years? It's a question that's being asked not only by the mountain railways. Expert Cindy Heo discusses new directions and predicts the unpopular dynamic pricing system will become more prevalent.
Instead of fixed prices that only change depending on the date or demand, Professor Dr. Cindy Heo recommends that ski resort operators implement a more sophisticated management system for day tickets.
